Happy February 1st! It seemed like January was an entire year long. I honestly struggled getting back in the groove of things all month. I’d say 50% of my goals went out the window by week 3! It gave me a chance to reassess exactly what I want out of life. I was focused on getting tasks done instead of my “why”. I needed to remember the motivation behind health, financial and career goals I set.
I ordered Rachel Hollis’ (author of Girl, Wash Your Face) Start Today journal back in December, but just cracked it open last week. The first few pages instruct you to write down the best version of yourself 10 years from now and goals to make it a reality. You then have to come up with 10 big dreams. What I love about Rachel’s concept is that you write them out as if they already happened! This has helped me tremendously with focusing on my “why” and caused me to shift how I speak to the future. I’m now using “I will” statements instead of “I want”. You write the 10 dreams everyday until they are a reality! I was already doing the gratitude piece, but it’s even more powerful coupled with dreaming!
In February, I’m letting go of anything that’s not in alignment with the 2029 Lorean. She’s at the top of her game in every area, and that means I have to work harder in the present to get there! I’m going to be intentional about starting each day journaling this month. It helps me refresh and refocus on my purpose. I think that plays a major role in how you approach your day
